Brring offers services for personalizing your communications, especially do-it-yourself ringback tones. You can create and choose different ringbacks for different callers, or assign people to groups.

When you create an account with Brring, you get a new Brring number. You keep your existing phone too - calls to your Brring number forward to the phone you already have.

Tell your friends to call on the new Brring! number, and they'll hear the ringback tone you have picked out for them.

A ringback tone is what a caller hears after dialing the phone but before you answer. The typical default ringback tone sounds like a telephone ring. But Brring! allows you to customize it with whatever sound you like.

Brring! Plus costs $2.99 per month.

A Brring! number is a phone number you receive from Brring!.

Calls to your Brring! number are forwarded to your existing phone, or what we call your Private Number.

A Private Number is the existing phone number you have right now. It can be a mobile telephone number or a wire-line number like your house phone (it cannot be a private branch exchange number typically found at large companies.) All calls to your Brring! Number are forwarded to your Private Number. You must own the private number to which you have us forward calls.

People who have used Brring for a while may remember that initially we offered rewards for receiving calls. We quickly realized that would not be sustainable and ended that policy ending June 15, 2008.

There are still three ways to earn rewards. For profiling callers, earn up to $0.75 per friend profiled. For sharing your number, earn up to $0.05. For inviting people to use Brring, earn $1.00 per friend who joins up.

Redeem rewards by going to the Redeem Rewards page and indicating where you would like us to send your check. Note the minimum redemption amount is $10.

We have been very slow in fulfilling redemption requests. Keep in mind we are a small bootstrapped company …just a few guys pouring their own sweat. So please be patient as we try to build a service and a business model that lasts.
