Brring is a free ringback tone service. Ringback tones are what a caller hears after dialing the phone but before you answer. The typical default ringback tone sounds like a telephone ring. Brring! allows you to customize it with whatever sound you like.
When you create an account with Brring, you get a new Brring number. You keep your existing phone too - calls to your Brring number forward to the phone you already have.
Tell your friends to call on the new Brring! number, and they'll hear your new ringback tone.

Does Brring! cost money? Are there hidden fees somewhere?
Brring! does NOT cost money. There is no sign-up fee and we never send you a bill. There is no catch. In fact, we pay YOU for helping us profile your callers, so that we can select ads that most closely match their interests.
Who are the advertisers on Brring!? What ads will my friends hear?
Brring! advertisers are a range of cool companies, from record labels and movie studios to travel services and popular consumer brands. We also partner with humanitarian and charitable organizations to run public service announcements on the Brring! network.
A typical ad lasts less than 10 seconds. We also have rules in place so that callers do not hear the same ads again and again.
What if my callers don't want to hear ads?
If there is someone who you don't want to hear an ad (like grandma or your boss), have them call you on your private number (the number you used to register for Brring!). We also allow you to manually adjust the frequency with which your callers hear an ad. See the Help section for more details.
How much can I make with Brring!?
There are three ways to earn rewards. For profiling callers, earn up to $0.75 per friend profiled. For sharing your number, earn up to $0.05. For inviting people to use Brring, earn $1.00 per friend who joins up.
Redeem rewards by going to the Redeem Rewards page http://www.brring.com/redeem.php and indicating where you would like us to send your check. Note the minimum redemption amount is $10.
A Brring! number is a phone number you receive from Brring!. You can choose the area code of your Brring! number. (More about choose your Brring! number area code).
Calls to your Brring! number are forwarded to your existing phone, or what we call your Private Number. Calls made to your Brring! number earn you rewards.
A Private Number is the existing phone number you have right now. It can be a mobile telephone number or a wire-line number like your house phone (it cannot be a private branch exchange number typically found at large companies.) All calls to your Brring! Number are forwarded to your Private Number. You must own the private number which you forward calls to your Brring!.
I can't get a number in my local area code. What can I do?
You can choose ANY area code for your Brring! number. You don't NEED to use a number that is the same as your local area code, so don't let it stop you. But if the one you want is not available, please let us know.
We are working to expand the area codes available for new Brring! Numbers as fast as we can, but if we hear from you we may be able to get a number in your area code for you immediately.
